That's what people always say. But it only looks that way. It's all smoke and mirrors (read: a lot of negative painting).

But isn't that even better?
Creating this feel of many details without having draw every single thing ^^

I still have to learn that - at the mo, I'm often caught up in details (and frustrated when they don't turn out as I want them to )

Oh wow, I love this!! It looks so delicate and refreshing, I can almost feel the morning dew on the flowers. Once again, a lovely mix of style and realism and wonderful use of colours. The light is also well portrayed and helps make the picture 'jump out' from the page. Ya know what happens now... insta-fav! XD

Beautiful! I love the freedom you are showing in your recent work.
If you get this multiple times, I'm sorry. This site is running so slow now and timing out on nearly every comment I make. ARGH!!!!

Thank you! I'm happy you like it!
Yep, it pays to go crazy and just let rip every now and then - loosens you up!
And not to worry - I only got your message once.
I also noticed that things had slowed down..... and I'd already been blaming my server!

Yes I did notice. You could even pull a little red into the greens for some "linkage" Not too much, and only in a couple places. Great variations, and love the flowers!

Right! Thanks again!
I was in a bit too much of a hurry posting this one, I'm afraid. Now I notice that it could do with some more definition/ colour here and there, like on some of the leaves.
But that's easily fixed.
Still - for the first time I'm happy with my greens - thanks to you!

I love the way the flowers are in an unusual composition. The green leaves kind of mask them which is a nice effect. I really appreciate your talent for painting great flowers. I can not paint flowers. All the detail within them conflicts with my impatient streak!! lol Bravo!!

You are a sweetie, thanks so much!
As for not being able to paint flowers because of your impatience with detail: Nonsense, dear girl! OK, I guess detail might be easier to do in watercolour than in acrylics, but who says you have to paint every single petal and leaf and whatnot? Just tackle them in a more impressionist way!

Awww thanks for the encouragement! This is a good idea to do them in an impressionist way. I very much doubt they would be a patch on your works! You are queen of flower painting. Thanks for the advice!

You work fast! Your flowers are getting more and more complicated and very nicely renderedMaybe your style is loose, but in my humble opinion, the few leaves in the foreground need a little definition there, like those in the middle, near the top, since they are nearerest to viewers' eyes, what do you think? Over all, nice work copine! I have yet to paint flowers to my satisfaction

nice one! really nice.
maybe the blossoms should show a little more contrast (would boost their 3D appearance)

Thanks!
I worked with a restricted palette here - 5 colours - just to give myself a challenge, and then I was in a rush to upload it.
I think you are right: a little more colour here and there might work well. But that's easily fixed!
Thanks for the input!
