Really useful!

In truth, most of time I just skip the soaking process and start immediately to paint (my fault, I admit). And as I don't possess a staple, I simply tape the sheet with a paper tape.

I don't normally stretch my paper either - I only use 300 g paper, and with my normal painting technique this will be quite OK without stretching. Often I don't even bother with a tape

But lately I've been using this "Poured Washes" technique, and this can only be done with stretched paper.
And as I had to do some stretching anyway, I thought I'd take some photos of the process and post a tutorial because many people seem to shy away from stretching, as if it was very complicated. Which it isn't.

Good tutorial ...
if the paper is smaller size, only paper tape is enough ... if it is bigger like this, I've another method where no need to use staple pins or tape .... just gum
I'll make it's tutorial soon

my final step is stapling, before that I put the gummed brown paper on the edge of wet paper (as you do in final step) then I make a cross at the edge of stretched wet paper.

Oh, I'm sure it'll work just as well. I prefer my staples covered because with that Poured Washes technique I've been using, there's so much water and paint slopping around, chances are it would seep into the staple holes.

What do you mean by making a cross at the edge of the stretched wet paper? I'm afraid I don't quite follow you there.

By the way: Another deviant talks about using "gum" - don't know if by this he means "glue" or what. He's planning to put up a tutorial for this - should be interesting!

by staples I make crossovers, you know you staple along the edge of paper (like this - - - - ) but I put staples somehow to pinch board, paper and gummed brown paper together (like this | | | | |)!

poor English I have!!!

Yes! Now I understand! I'm going to try this.
Thanks so much for taking the time to explain, and your English is fine, too, so don't worry please!
