Yeah, that's because you already know the hardest language there is.
Did you know that English is the hardest language to learn, let alone write? There are so many rules you have to memorize that apply to most words, and then you have to memorize all the exceptions there are to every rule. Compared to English, all the other languages are easy.
Some of my best friend's anscestors are from Russia, so for a while she would joke that she was Asian...
i, on the other foot, am not Asian at all. Just Swedish and Scottish, and technically Scottland isn't even a county.

i feel kind of badly for all the International Students at my school. My school has the program thing where kids from all over Asia can come to our school and go there with a little extra help. They of course have to have a pretty good grip of the English language, but they still mostly just speak their first language. There are some kids from China, Thialand (that is probably spelled totally wrong), and Japan. It's kind of cool. But they really just stay in their little groups; they don't really talk to anyone not from Asia. But it's still cool that they are there. You've gotta admire their courage, coming to a totally different country with a totally different language and culture.
ANYWAY! What i was trying to get at was how i recently happened to read this essay thing by this Asian girl, Debrah, and the spelling was correct, but there were a LOT of mistakes. Reading it made me realize how very, very difficult it would be to learn Eglish as a second language, especially if you spoke Chinese or Japanese. The way they talk and think their words is TOTALLY different from us, isn't it? Not to mention how they don't have an alphabet anything like ours... Wow, those guys are brave.
Yeah, i'm mostly Swedish and Scottish, plus a bunch of other stuff i don't even know about.
i was thinking about it earlier today, and i started wondering. Do any of the people in other countries ever say that they are part American? They might if the family was new to the country or something, but... i don't know. What do you think?
