I do this weird, fun thing where I steal drawers out of trash piles (the kind that go in a desk or dresser, not the kind that go on your personal bits, that would be pretty gross). I take apart these drawers, which are usually made from beautifully grained wood panels just waiting to be sanded/distressed artistically, and use the facades as makeshift frames for art. Of course, for every "frame" I harvest, I get 3-4 wood panels as well. So I upcycle them into interestingly shaped "canvases".

This is one of those canvases. I like bugs, and bugs like me. I'm calm, they land on me, I look at them up close. They realize they can't eat any part of me, really, and move on. We actually act surprisingly similar to bugs when you think about it: if something big and huge just stands there, it doesn't freak you out. But if it starts screaming and randomly swinging appendages through space in the same path you're now using trying to run away from it (imagine an insane T-rex freaking out the way some people do around harmless bees), you'd probably try to at least wing it with whatever weapons you've got as you run away
