Aww it's my little sad studmuffin

Nike had a very traumatic youth, he was being bullied and he had no friends. The only one who liked him was his mother and he loved her very much. She always pulled him trough the tough times and told him everything he needed to hear to make him feel better. But his mom wasn't happy. She'd loved Nike's father only a few years but they didn't fit each other. They fought a lot and barely had normal conversations. Nike made her happier but not happy enough to put op with her mate. One time when she was taking a walk she met a stallion. He was a traveler and didn't have a herd. She met in secret over the next weeks until he asked her to come with him. She agreed but she was heartbroken for knowing she had to say goodbye to Nike.

Here's a little story about how she left. This is right after the stallion asked her to come with her. It's in the middle of the night and Nike is sleeping.

"Nike? Nikey?" The sweet voice of Nike's mother said softly. Still pretty much asleep Nike muttered: "What is it?" "Don't get up my dear, stay alseep. I have to tell you something." The mare told her son. Nike only moaned and didn't open his eyes. "You already know this but me and your dad don't love each other anymore the way we used to. A few weeks ago I met a traveling stallion and I do love him very much. He asked me to go with him and I said yes. And I would love to take you with me but I can't take you away from the herd. I can't be so selfish to take you away from everything you know and have grown accustomed to. So I have to leave you. I love you so much but I can't stay here. I'm so sorry but you will be alright. You're so strong and brave." The mare said with tears streaming down her face. She hugged Nike very tight and then she heard a soft whinny in the distance. "I have to go now my dear. I'm going to miss you so much. I love you." Her voice cracked and she was crying loudly now. She put a red rose next to Nike. It would be a reminder of this conversation to him and also a reminder of her. Another whinny was heard and with one last look at her half sleeping son she ran away. Nike fell back to sleep again not able to understand what just happened. A few hours later He woke up again. It was still dark and he looked around. It took him a minute to remember that his mom woke him up earlier. As he was thinking about it he saw the rose and his heart skipped a beat. He remembered what she'd said and he stood up quickly and looked around. She wasn't sleeping next to him like she always did. She was gone. Out of his life. The only one to ever accept him for who he was. The only one who ever truly loved him. Gone with the wind. He grabbed the rose from the ground and pricked his lip on one of the thorns. He didn't care about the pain and he pursed his lips around the stem. Tears ran across his face as his whole life fell apart with the information he was given just a few hours ago.

I feel mean for taking his mommy away!

Oh and just so you know he supposed to be 14 years old in human years in this picture so that's why his mane and tail aren't as long as usual and he still has slightly bigger hocks and knees. And I drew the rose all by myself and I is very proud of it
