Nice work! The nuances of the texture make the scenery (especially the sky) look realistic and helps give the pic that DKC3 dockside level feeling.
And yeah, that's GOT to hurt the kong, too! And being thrown by a brute such as Kiddy is no laughing matter, either!
Actually, when throwing a kong at a baddie, I think it would've been a cool touch of realism to also lose the kong by small chance.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want to be in Dixie's situation. Still, I think she's better off being carried by Kiddy than the other way around!
And yeah - I can imagine throwing a Kong at a normal baddie like a neek, and then unexpectedly, it suddenly rears up it's claws and strikes, resulting in the loss of the Kong!

I've seen that texture before. Nice use to it.
You're right about the throwing thing. Poor Dixie. I hadn't really thought about how they feel when they're thrown until I played DKC2 on the Gameboy for the first time. If they hit the ground or something, the sprite when they 'fail on a level' activates.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought I'd try the "crumpled paper" texture with this one.
And absolutely! I remember quite a few times accidently throwing a Kong into a zinger or something, and watching them cry out and fall off the screen.
