I hadn't thought of this pairing till I saw the Wrex/Ashley renders by PKBitchGirl but once I saw it I thought it really would have been cute. Especially since she came across as hating aliens in the first game.
I know how you feel... with these missed chances renders I am finding more pairings I had no idea about.

Okay, I saw this in your gallery too and I just HAD to say something about this, dear friend!
Bottom line, if we had star-crossed love between another two wonderful squadmates, Tali'Zorah and Garrus "I love me some calibrations!" Vakarian, why not Ash and Wrex? And honestly, I hadn't even thought of these two being a couple until I saw your art...and they look wonderful together, seriously! 
Shoot, there are so many characters who could have been paired together, but Bioware missed the chance to let us make those romances happen...I've always thought FemShep and Ash could have been a couple, too. It's just something different and sweet to imagine, just like this!

Exactly my thoughts. If Tali/Garrus happened why not other romances like Ashley/Wrex. I know that is less likely but it would have been really sweet considering how she came across about other species in the first game. Then to have her fall for one. Would have been a lovely idea.

That would be the most bad ass couple the galaxy has seen! They both were my fave squadmates in ME1.

I had a mixture of Wrex, Kaidan/Ashley as my squadmates quite a lot in ME1. So maybe all that time they spent together made Ashley like him

Ha, that would be awesome if they did get over their differences. Also, yeah, I was the same with a mixture of Kaidan/Ashley, Wrex. Infact, Kaidan and Wrex were my two chosen during the very last battle against Saren. It was epic
