Description Krimpet (the larger horned frog) and Goober. I DO NOT recommend putting these frogs together like this unless you know exactly what you are doing b/c these frogs will cannibalize other horned frogs if they want to. I have worked with these frogs for MANY years and I know how to properly, and safely put them together for photos.
I choose the title I did b/c it looks like Goober is giving Krimpet a weary eye. As though he is thinking, "Don't even think of trying to make a meal of me buddy!".

Β Wow, I kept a couple of these a long while back. I always heard that they would eat each other regardless whether they were hungry or not. Territorial instinct or something but that something I heard from some guy at Petsmart so not the most sterling source.Β

Whenever I go to herptile shows to get supplies I always end up coming home with something new...be it a frog, snake, etc. I am such a sucker!

I try to avoid pet stores...except if I really need something inbetween Herp shows. But I know what you mean. I have to go into them with blinders on and quickly get want I need and get out before I get suckered into getting something live!

Awe TY. Any animal I have I make sure I know as much as I can about them, as a species and individual, so I can best take care of them and know what is ok when it comes to interacting with them. Too many get animals before doing their research and knowing what is the proper care and handling of them and the animal suffers in the long run. But I know all of my frogs, snakes and other critters like the back of my hand.

Well some snakes can make a kind of "growling" sound. Though it would be cool if they did have a wider use of their vocal cords and could make more different sounds.
