Description the drive-through is a magical place—
an enchanted kingdom
where your every wish,
where my every wish
is granted

arriving at the gates
there’s the smell—
the smell of grease and fairy dust
there’s the look—
the look of deep-fried desire

and oh there's that twinkle
that sparkle as the symphony
of sizzling grills
of over-flowing milkshakes
plays on

feet stomp on break pedals
and my window opens in
perfect unison with the gates to
this miraculous land

I utter my spells
recite my charms
and add—
at the very end—
“and yes
of course
I want fries with that”
