It really was. I lost Tigger to an illness and had to have him put down at the age of 5. He was a "Hemingway", he had extra digits on all four paws and the sweetest cat. I still have my Baxter though...but he's getting old...turning 13 in July.

I also have Baxter's Mother, Danali. She's turning 14 next month....Also, have Baxter's daughter, Nala (her mom passed already) who is turning 12 this yr. I'm scared I'm going to lose them very close together. Thank God my dog, Penny Lane is turning only 4 in July, so my house won't be so empty. When I get down to one cat, I'm going to the same no kill shelter here where I adopted Penny Lane and adopt a kitten. My dog LOVES cats and will need a companion...Ok, ok, the kitten will be for me too.
