I live in Michigan, the state of bloody intolerable, completely illogical weather. It was over 60 F this weekend, sunny and balmy like a nice spring day. Today it's hailing, snowing and just simply being miserable (we're supposedly going to get 11 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Yay.) The warm temperatures inspired this, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let the weather dampen my spring mood ΒBlack india ink, white gel pen, gold leaf and graphite on toned paper, digital finishing.

what is black india ink? that different? your art is incredible!

It's a liquid, waterproof ink that you use a dip pen with (one of the pens with exchangeable nibs). It's very black and opaque and I love the line that a nib pen creates

If you haven't used liquid inks with a nib dip pen before there might be a slight learning curve, but you'll never go back to the regular pigment liners after you try it

I'm in Sweden currently and the weather is, if possible, even crazier than it is in Michigan. From the frying pan to the fire, as the saying goes...
