This is quite nice. The design of the creature is quite good, pretty detailed. The coloring is good ant the spots are nice, though wouldn't the spots be a big giveaway to where it is and least effective during hunting?. As lions and cougars don't have spots, and since the Smilodon would probably have the same niche so it would probably have the same or similar pattern ( Though this this statement could be false). But overall this art piece is really good.

Thanks and I appreciate the feedback, Smilodon fatalis lived in a rather wooded habitat most of the time. Spots/stripes don't necessarily give animals away, they just break up the form of an animal, look at leopards, jaguars, bobcats, and other spotted big cats.

Oh, my bad. I always though that Smilodon fatalis lived in plans and grasslands. I guess it might have been Smilodon populator or it was an uneducated guess.
