Description Here's my entry for the #buildabetterfaketheropod  hashtag that started back around the release of Jurassic World.
I decided to create the ultimate fictional theropod, you need to take the most popular theropods, and combine various aspects into one monster.

The creature is nearly 14 meters (45.9 feet) in length and 14429.65 kgs or 14.4 tonnes/15.9 tons.
The creature uses carnotaurus caudofemoralis for fast leg movement, in addition to that the creature's legs are Tyrannosaurus in composition, for weight bearing. The arms can pronate due to the megaraptorian genes. Due to the mixture of Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus genes Diablovenator has a stronger bite force than Giganotosaurus, though a weaker one than a Tyrannosaurus.

While Diablovenator has a lot of power, it has a major flaw. Diablovenaor cannot turn very well.
Top view:

Here is the list of what comprises the creature's body:
Head: Giga skull with adjustments to make it more similar to a Tyrannosaurus skull.
Legs: Tyrannosaurus
Tail and caudofemoralis: Carnotaurus
Neurals: For structural stability, spinosaurus genes were used to raise the vertebrae.
Arms: Megaraptoran
Torso: a mixture of Tyrannosaurus and giganotosaurus,  quite wide from a dorsal view.

Could megaraptorans really pronate their hands?

not like human can.
what happens is that as the arms extends the wrists pronate

A mass of the Earth's crust that due to various geological processes has risen above the layer of water that cover's over 70% of the planet's surface on which various organisms has established populations which may, in the future, develop into novel species as is shown on the various places scattered across the globe.

Hmm, interesting, but it could be better.

I say to combine the jaws of Allosaurus, T-rex, and Carnotaurus - make a very swift, snapping bite with jaws designed to hack away at flesh with ridiculous bone-crushing power.

it couldn't use all of it's bite force when attacking, not to mention those creatures may weaken the bite force

Lediblock2 In reply to Paleop [2017-01-09 03:05:51 +0000 UTC]

The solid build of the skull would put a lot more momentum into its initial bite, and it could bite down farther after that initial impact.

All swords can chop and thrust, but swords can only excel in one of those fields
apply that to theropod skulls

Lediblock2 In reply to Paleop [2017-01-10 00:53:02 +0000 UTC]

The initial strike would open up the wound, with the big, heavy T-rex teeth punching through armor, while the next few bites would open it up larger.

No offense but the whole #buildabetterfaketheropod really hasn't produced anything of note. most has been either feather theropods or designs that probably wouldn't get past a group of corporate suites.

All I will say is its design isn't of major note

You mean that when they stretch their arms their wrists pronate? (the meaning goes lost in translation for me)

AlexornisAntecedens In reply to Corallianassa [2016-12-20 20:10:01 +0000 UTC]

It's not actual pronation, their hands flex like that when they extend. You can read more on that here: journals.plos.org/plosone/arti…
