Description
A chart displaying my reconstruction of a dodo bird (center top and bottom) and two hypothetical color morphs of the dodo birdSeveral of my friends and I took a night to look into dodo birds a bit more through before creating this.
dodos are weird.
Some cliff notes: Dodo birds bald face is likely an adaptation for face biting and contesting over mates (apparently they had pretty strong bites).
The grey reconstructions are likely dodos outside of the breeding season rather than being completely fictional. the "most accurate dodo painting" that almost everyone bases their dodos reconstructions off of should not be taken 100% accurately as colors are off with several species in the painting.Β
A big thank you to , , for their help with this project!
good luck on the contest

Interestingly the Rodrigues solitaire had little bone clubs on its hands for that.
Two very different methods of fighting between two very closely related birds

For me, the second one of the first row is the best.Β
