Description Here's a quick page I did over the Bank Holiday weekend, as a bit of a warm-up for a 'special project' I have coming up.

I'm a huge fan of the Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye comic series written by James Roberts, and when I found some linework from the first issue, It went straight into the "future colouring" folder. I decided to colour a simple dialogue page rather than rushing in to an action page, simply as I haven't done very many in the past so thought it would be good practice. I didn't look of the original page at all as reference for this, I found colour reference for the characters and kinda made the rest up.

This page is from issue 1 of the series, with art by the amazing (And good friend of mine) Nick Roche with colours on the original page by the super human colouring machine and all round nice guy Josh Burcham [link]

Colours on this version by Me.

Comments welcome!

You re a natural at the job.
Amazing, really.
I can see this page turning into the piece of a really good action movie;
I practically feel the rush in my blood, trying to figure out what comes next.
ofc, we all know what comes next, but, yeah
Nick n Josh would be proud.
Very Proud

Really love the first 2 panels with the fade in / fade out blur.
Everything seems to flow well, and I love it when emotion can be upheld without dialogue! Nice job!

Never got into MTMTE... I probably should sometime soon.

Thanks for the kind words, I wanted to do my own thing with the page, keeping only the character palettes and trying to do what I wanted with the rest of it, I think it came out pretty well, and looks only a little similar to the official colours.

I love the fade in-fade out approach on the first two panels. Great work overall!

Thanks, I tried to go for a Hollywood-style focus pull kind of effect

Glad you liked it!
