SO a bit boring... i know, but i think its useful to know these things.
i know every face is different but these are characteristics that often appear together.

theres a third facial patten called mesofacial but its just the inbetween these two, the harmonic face
you can also have a mesodolic or mesobraqui wich is an armonic face but with a bit of the characteristics of one or the other patterns.
there are other characteristics but i only described the ones that might be useful for drawing faces

sorry for misspelled words or phrases.

oh i forgot that dolicfacial patterns often present bags under the eyes (since the cheek bone is not prominent)

also im a nerd and im always trying to determine facial pattens of actors XXDD its a fun excercise, try it. for example, im watching tranformers on tv... shia has some really dolicofacial features XXDD megan is bitchfacial pattern.. and im not jealous XXXDD shes pretty.

EDIT 2012: ive learnet a lot more of facial patterns ad oh i was so wrong about many thins here.... but for drawing i guess its ok dont take it scientificaly though
