La historia de mi vida.
Cada vez que voy a la piscina/playa/parque acuatico, mis primas tienden a desesperarse porque ellas tienen la dicha de poder pasar la tarde ba;andose y no sufren de insolacion. Mientras que yo tengo que ahogarme en protector solar para igual terminar como camaron hervido.

Hey without a tan you're saving your skin to look much better as you age. That's how I look at it myself - I'm very fair and this summer I got pretty tan by personal standards and people still teased me about being so pale; it's a losing battle... There was one summer where I was noticably tan by all standards but that was before puberty and summer camp kept me outside every day that it wasn't raining.

I'm like that. I almost got third degree burn from sitting outside for about half an hour. It wasn't even that hot but the sun was still not covered by clouds or anything at all. I cannot for the life of me get a tan. Literally. xD

I went snorkeling in hawaii once, within half an hour I had a tan line and my moms albino so she burns easily. Kind of contradicting. Lol. But I have copper skin, so I guess it's easier for me...

Same here. I live in California now and I am still super pale (I used to live in Seattle) and everyone teases me about it. So the first week of school I went to the beach to get a tan and within a half hour I was burned...it was horrible. I'd rather be pasty pale than burned. Haha

but yeah, the whole giving up the tanning thing also applies to me! every year I'm trying to do something about my pale skin but in the end I just can't stand the heat... so when summer ends I'm usually as pale as a vampire

The only reason why I don't tan is because I live in an area where the only people who do are either:
A) in their sixties and still trying to channel their inner George Hamilton
B) are beach bums year round
or C) emulating the cast of Jersey Shore.
And in all honestly, I like being pale.

I got a tan by just spending more time outside. I burn easily, naturally blond so I used sunscreen. Last summer I spent a lot of time outside, digging in my sister's garden, hanging out with friends, traveling, shopping. Little by little I got a healthy tan withouth a single sunburn.

I live in Finland. Less than 300km from the Artic Circle.It's not Siberia but every summer when it's warm enough to get a tan is worth something.
