Description
I saw the movie in 3D some time ago and I felt obligated to do some art. Even though I'm not doing much art at all recently. It was probably the only good animated film I've seen this year.Toothless is surprisingly hard to draw proportionately, and I felt it was important to get him as proportionate as possible (for me that is). Most people do things like giving him longer limbs and neck, or just plain copying screen caps.
What I probably like most about Toothless is how easily he goes from walking (cat-lizard mode) to flying (bat-butterfly mode), and how (unlike this bitch [link] ) you have no doubt that he can freaking fly [link] .
Yup, still can't paint. Doesn't help that I can barely see different shade of BLACK.

Thank you! It helped me with my own drawings, especially the middle pic and that one where he's flying.

Here you go. The thing is in my gallery, anyways. Tell me if there's anything you want me to add in.

Huh, it's a bit tough, I haven't actually drawn him that much. It would be a neat idea. In the meantime, I suggest looking up as many screen captures or concept art as you can. If you have the movie, pop it into your TV or your computer, pause it, and take notes.
There are probably some tutorials already on deviantart you can use, try looking them up.
