I won’t deny the fact that part of me is utterly terrified by posting this.People tends to judge you for the simplest things. I know I will be judged and some will assume things because of this drawing, but honestly there are no more fucks left in me to give.
So have my persona (myself pretty much) and Zan together.
Things you need to know- We’re not in a relationship (unless you consider it a flushed quadrant. Because yes, we're canon moirails.)
- Zanarkand is my most important character. He’s my soul character, and he’s a living being on his own inside my mind. He’s real in a way. He’s been helping me stay away from depression and he’s the one that drives my creativity to the point of drawing every day
- Yes he’s huge
- If you ship us together as a couple I will burn your house and skin you personally.

but yeah I definitely get that!! I actually kinda have a bond with Reverse like that. Like, when my friend Shon first designed him, I immediately felt some sort of click with him. Eventually Shon gave him to me, and I had him as a sona for a while. But I realized that he wasn't really meant to be a sona. He's kinda like a guide, in a way. I've had conversations with him in my dreams and even when I'm awake sometimes, he's helped me fight off my personal demons. He's taught me things, like how being different is okay, and others opinions shouldn't crush you, among other things, because in the 2-some years he's been alive he's gone through more in his near future than I have in my own 15 years of life.
It's really nice to have someone to relate to and look up to, even if they aren't there for you to see. And I respect you so much for going and admitting something like this <3

This is a really sweet picture, I know most people probably wouldn't understand a bond like this but I think it's wonderful that you have a friend like Zan. He sort of reminds me of a Tulpa in a way which is really neat too.

Zan's expression... I just... I can't stop staring at it
This picture is utterly uplifting. Those poses look perfect, and the way you're leaning on him here, looking exhausted yet completely at peace, I can really see how much Zan means to you; this looks like a beautiful picture between moirails, and nothing more. If people think otherwise than they're idiots. And I know what you mean by having a kind of deep relationship with your characters, like they're real to you; I think the same way.
And I can't tell you how much I hate it when things that aren't meant to be shipped...

Sometimes you have to tell other people - at least those willing to listen - what you've been through, and how much their characters mean to you.
Some might consider you nuts, some will understand and even envy you a bit.
I personally feel really lucky to share such a bond with him.

In my opinion, this isn't "weird" or "odd" at all. Zan is more than a character to you, he's like a human being to you and that you've realized that he's an important part of your life makes it kinda sweet, to be honest. I haven't seen that many artists/writers/etc. forging a bond like this with a character of theirs so you should consider yourself lucky, Marty. :> I second what *Mawara said that you're just like two best friends, that you can share things with each other, both good and bad. Cheering each other, pulling the other one out of bad times, helping with and giving inspiration.Having a character that you love and care about won't judge you nor leave you, he/she will always be there for you, no matter what. You could almost say they're artists' best friends, heh. I'm happy you found your 'moirails' and I hope you two will continue helping each other in the future, just as you've done up 'til now. :>

I probably consider it weird because, for a person to acknowledge the fact their character is "real" and that they have such a bond with them, they need to accept the fact they're a bit "nuts". At least it's what I think I am.

You're not alone with these thoughts. I myself love having conversations with my characters (especially when walking home from school xD; ). Always manage to cheer me up :3
Even though some people joke about it, your characters are like your 'babies' and any "mother" (in this case the creator of the chara) will get a bond with their "children", although sometimes you unknowingly pick a favorite xD; In your case it's Zan.
