Are you sure you didn't get something screwed up in the linework? Your color scheme and lighting are fine but these shapes look way off.
Perfect example is the arms, especially the girl's right arm, which looks like a generic blob where it attaches to the shoulder. It doesn't have to be super muscular but looking at people who are would significantly help you visualize where the bone structure should be and how the tissues will grow around it. Another issue is the elbow of the same arm - something about the joint seems off to me. Did you draw the entire thing with that armband or did you draw the arm first and then the armband? Finally, the thumb on the same arm sticks out as if it opposes in the opposite direction. That crease should be on the other side or just a lot less prevalent.
Also, the girl's left horn seems a bit off, like it might have fit better put a little more to her left. Things like that, and the inconsistent perspective of the cake, make this seem like the original linework was somehow flawed.
Conceptually this is pretty interesting - the figure on the right reminds me a LOT of the puppetmaster from Ghost in the Shell. Kind of annoying that the torso just ends at the waist - nothing seems to come out or really 'conclude' the torso as a whole.
While this is certainly ahead of my abilities as an artist, I can say this isn't your best work.

Yeah, yeah totally right. Panda was never good at line work. It was always in the colors and shading that she always shined true in. Always.

Panda; this is awesome. Really. Though the hands for Her Imperial Condescension look too large for her body... But other than that, it's awesome! I like the fingernails too; maybe all troll skeletons are candy-cane colored?

That's perspective Panda's dear, if you look at the hand in the back by the cake you see it is smaller. The arm is closer to the focus point to the head, and thus it would seem larger. It is more candy-corn colored to, not candy cane silly biscuits.

Candy-cane, candy-corn... I'm tired! And I see... never-mind my criticism then! But yes, I'd think it'd be interesting to see what your take on troll skeletons are like.
