Description

Danny limped into the house with Sapphire, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in his leg. For a moment the teenager and the young adult forgot about their ghost forms and the house immediately went to attack them, but with a quick transformation into their human forms the night went back to normality without anyone stirring upstairs.
"Well, that was a tougher night than usual but I think we made it out okay!" Sapphire said with a smile, rubbing her aching arm now it had stopped bleeding. Danny kept facing away, trying not to stare at the gaping wound in his leg that had been previously hidden under his jumpsuit. It was bleeding so much it had started to drip onto the floor. He felt a bit woozy at the sight of it and he quickly looked up to avoid passing out.
"Y-yeah, nice work tonight Sapph..." Danny replied with a grimace, glancing back at her and noticing she'd grabbed their hidden first aid kit and started to wrap herself up. She didn't bother with the claw marks across her arm, she liked to occasionally show off her "battle wounds" as she called them. After a while, she heard Danny's heavy breathing as he kept glancing at his leg and she glanced backwards at him.
"Um... Danny? Are you okay?" she questioned, her head tilting a little to the side in worry. "I'm gonna head home, it's getting kinda late and..." She didn't finish her sentence, her voice fading out into the night. She'd never seen him like this; Danny was shaking like a leaf and leaning against the wall.
"C-can you help me...?" he asked, and with a gentle smile Sapphire nodded, carefully leading him over to the sofa and sitting him down before he fell down and gently lifting his leg up.
"Give me your foot Cinderella, this is gonna be a little painful." she smiled, holding a gentle but firm grip onto his heel so he couldn't flinch away as she brought our a needle and sutures from the first aid kit and gently started to sew the skin back together, cleaning it as she went.
"I'm not Cinderella..." Danny muttered with a blush, watching her hands swiftly go up his wound and noticing he barely felt any pain from her work. He didn't even notice the queasy feeling in his stomach anymore, his eyes kept glancing up to Sapphire's face as she worked, noticing her head bob to a silent tune only she could hear. Just as she finished they both heard movement from upstairs, so with a quick movement Danny turned off the light and Sapphire hid the kit behind the sofa, but in their haste they fell over one another and Danny fell on top of Sapphire, causing them both to blush as their lips brushed together in the fall. It wasn't a kiss but it was close enough. To their horror and embarrassment, the lights turned on and stood at the bottom of the stairs was Danny's mother, Maddie with her hand covering her smiling mouth.
"Oh, my little boy is all grown up!" she said with a broad smile, and Sapphire jumped up from the sofa with her bruised cheek sufficiently covered by her blush.
"I-I was just leaving!" she cried, running out of the door and Danny caught her flying away once she was down an alleyway.
"Mom, it really wasn't what it looked like!" he said with an exasperated sigh, and Maddie winked.
"Don't worry Danny, a Mom can keep her secrets!"
"Moooooooom!"

Haha it's been a while since I drew some Danny x Sapphire cute and I needed this and now I'm going to bed yay!
Oh, and I have this headcanon that Danny secretly is REALLY squeamish when it comes to blood and stuff. I don't know, I like a cute squeamish Danny so he can be all patched up and cuddled and stuff~
Oh, and Danny is probably about 17 here, Sapphire about 19 or 20, hence why I called them "teenager and young adult"~
