Description
We've got the Unovan variant now! I definitely like this version more. I struggled to get the "cool glowy thing under the lineart layer" right like I did for Hisuian, but eventually I got close enough, and I do like the purple. It was just a challenge considering it's mostly darker colors, I think, and Hisuian Zoroark had both a lighter background to work with and an easy color to compliment the white, meanwhile I needed this to look good on all of the colors and not add too many unnecessary ones...Either way, this one has thicker lineart, anatomy that I like more, and although I broke the "no reference" thing I had for Hisuian Zoroark, I really don't care. He's still stylized!
I gave him some dark shading (although I didn't care much to make the shading coherent, just added it in places I thought would be okay) and I like that, I think it does well to show case that typing of his.
I meant to give his claws some shiny stuff, but I forgot, and it's already watermarked and exported and everything, so obviously it's too late and there is absolutely no going back.
Jokes aside, this was fun, and I really like the result! I also didn't have a migraine this time! That made it much more enjoyable.
I listened to all of the Dreamland album while I drew this, because it's Glass Animals, and I wanted to use the CD and not just have it sitting there looking pretty all the time. I enjoyed that! Didn't let myself skip a single song or any of the home movies, and I must say, that was a pretty good experience. Taking it out of the case is still terrifying though, so I see why I don't use it that often.
There isn't much else to be said, so I'll stop here. Expect more Pokémon, probably. They're fun to draw. Maybe a dragon or something? I also don't draw object-themed pokémon often, I guess...
(I now realize I forgot to add lineart to the nose marking. Oops.)
