Description A blue dragonfly along the causeway over Lake Wisconsin... a wide part of the Wisconsin River near Harmony Grove, Wisconsin.
There were several types of both dragonflies and damselflies. I haven't been able to find the name of this one yet... I read there are 160 some different types in Wisconsin.

Amazing!!!

One begginer question... Did you only use the camera with the 270mm lens (as stated in the "Camera Data" on this page)? Or did you add a tube?

Thanks!

I'm not sure but I probably used the small [12mm] section. You are welcome... sorry this is soooooo late!

I believe these with the shorter, thicker, flatter bodies, are a species of Chaser. Although I think these are mainly in the UK and asia, there may be species elsewhere. [link]

No problem, Richard. There seems to be a wide variety of Dragonflies and Damselflies, all of which can be confused with each other.

Keep up the beautiful photography.
