Description
Among my favorite places in the world is Dave's Falls in Marinette County, Wisconsin. Named after a logger who lost his life breaking up a log jam here, it is a place of incredible beauty and unbelievable natural power. We spent the previous night in a remote cabin on the Peshtigo River [at the site of a class 4 white water rafting in the spring] and experienced an early 3 inch snowstorm that tied a hundred year old record for earliest significant snowfall in a season... October 12, 1909.
