We knew that an early season snow was heading for the northern part of Wisconsin so we took a couple of days off and stayed at one of our favorite places... in a small cabin about 30 steps from the Peshtigo River in Marinette County. The area got 3 - 4 inches of snow on October 12th... tying the record for the earliest significant snowfall which was set 100 years before... to the day! It was already melting by morning but there were several places where we stopped that still had most of the white stuff sticking to the trees and ground.Three shot HDRi from one image.
