Description The road to insanity can drive you insane
For you're not a rose by any other name

The voices, the whispers, a sideways glance
Run into the mirror cause you never had a chance

The white is blinding, the walls are padded
All these clues are slowly added

I don't need help; I'm not one of these crazies
But right about now I should be pushing daisies

You know:
The end to my grief
Six feet underground
That vacant relief
A casket so safe and sound

That fuzzy feeling when you're about to black out
You lose control with no regret, no doubt

Mix those pain killers with whatever helps you sleep
Guess what lemmings? I'm a black sheep

Whatever, get me on the Prozac
But wait till my emotions fight back

Sure, that'll work, throw me in a white room
Leave me alone with my cloud of doom and gloom

Wait... I can't seem to catch my breath
There's a shooting pain in my left arm
Seems to me like sudden death
The Grim Reaper can't resist my charm

I think the ending, if the reader knows the symptoms of a heart attack, is perfectly clear. It shows the cause of death perfectly. However, not everybody DOES know that. Still, poetry isnt meant to be written limited by what the people reading it have knowledge of so I think that the ending is fitting and good for describing the cause of death

I do believe you have it the end on a mark so that one can tell the narrator dies die by not really how.

I know what you mean but if you say the pain was in the chest one might then think heart attack. this way it makes it easier for one to think he died of a heart attack than a pain in his arm
