Description I'm super tired because it's super late and I really should be sleeping, so I probably made some mistakes, and if I did, please point them out to me. = )

If you make anything using my tutorials and post pictures on the internet, please post a link to my tutorial with your art and post a link to your art here. I'd love to see it! ^^

EDIT: I upped the brightness/contrast, so it's easier to read now, but the last picture looks kind of terrible... lol.

What did you tease the clay about? That's kind of mean, but great tutorial! Someday I'd like to try my hand at making little clay food.

You might be able to use some sort of glue, but do not put any glue in the oven. Bake everything that needs to be baked, and then add the glue. That is the only other thing I can think of.

about how much does TLS cost and is it possible to find it at normal craft stores? (Like micheals and Hobby Lobby and such....) and does it bake like normal Fimo?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

paperfaceparade In reply to LinLupin [2012-09-13 03:10:39 +0000 UTC]

i've seen it at JoAnn's, and I'm pretty sure Michael's has it, too. I've never looked in a Hobby Lobby. It's not too expensive. It's been a long time since I've bought any (college effectively murdered my free-time for creativeness and art and stuff), but it's less than $10 a bottle, I'd say. It bakes pretty much the same as Fimo. The directions might be slightly different, but not too different.

How do you get your frosting like that? D: Mine's always too lumpy and thick or too thin and runny, but yours is pretty much perfect!

paperfaceparade In reply to SparklyGrass [2012-05-19 15:51:05 +0000 UTC]

Add a decent amount of TLS (but make sure you're adding a bit less then you'll actually need. Better to not add enough than to add too much). Slowly add more TLS (just a few drops at a time), and whip it until your arm goes numb. lol. A small container and a very stiff wooden spoon/paintbrush (or possibly something metal) will work the best. Anything flimsy will make it hard to get the right amount of pressure where you want it.

This is really cool!
Ive always wondered how people line up the pictures like that!
Do you kniow how to arrange screenshots like that?
Im tring to figure it out, but i cant!
If you can explain it would be a lot of help

paperfaceparade In reply to Zerg505 [2011-09-17 06:52:13 +0000 UTC]

i use gimp. just create a blank image with the dimensions of all your images added together, then paste each image individually onto the blank image, arrange them how you want, and then anchor them.

I'm going to hopefully start using polymer clay and would like to get as much research into techniques etc. as possible, so what is TLS and where is it available?

my tls tutorial: [link]

you should be able to find it wherever you buy your polymer clay.

heyyy!! great tutorial. but when i tried making it.the "whipped cream" turned out too "smooth". it doesnt have the swirl ard feeling. how to get there? did i add too little clay, tt's why??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

paperfaceparade In reply to jolipetit [2010-02-10 08:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. Well, it could just be too thin. Try staring out with just a little TLS and slowly add just a few drops at a time.

great tut! <3 small question, i've never used TSL if you don't use all the icing can you put it away and use it later or does it dry kinda like glue? or..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

paperfaceparade In reply to Judes143 [2009-02-24 18:56:25 +0000 UTC]

thanks! well, yeah it kinda gets hard and dry if you leave it out in the open, but if you put it in a small airtight container, it might stay the right consistancy.
