Description
ORIGINAL LOCATION: [link]*runs around in circles screaming* YAY!!!
I FINALLY made one!!! So, you'd better darn well like it!
Note: It's very hard to reproduce clay art, even your own, so these don't quite look like the ones that I made before, and yours will probably look different from this.
This isn't exactly a detailed tutorial. I kind of forgot to take pictures for one of the steps, and I may have forgotten some steps entirely, so feel free to comment here or send me a note if you have any questions!! ^^
Good luck, and if you decide to make some kiwi, send me a link so I can see!!

This tutorial is more than 6 years old-- it was moved from an even older account. I make these for instructing in the method of production. The actual method can be adjusted and improved with trial and error, something that has since been done by myself. If you are going to comment on my artwork, especially with something critical, please make it constructive and kind.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Did you mean bake? And at what point? Once you've cut the cane and inserted the pin, you bake it, then you don't need to bake it again, especially after you paint/glaze it. Hope that helps.

Haha, no worries. Just keep trying. the trick is to really get the hang of rolling out logs smoothly and so they are the same diameter throughout. Use your palm. Like, the upper part of your hand where your first knuckles are. It's the hardest and most relatively-flat part of your hand and will roll more evenly than your fingers or the middle part of your palm. Then for fine-tuning, use just one fingertip and gently roll until it's even. A clay-conditioning machine (aka, mini-pasta-machine) helps a LOT with rolling out sheets.

I just tried making them... mine were awfully abnormal lol. I still like them enough and it was a good first try hopefully after TONS of practice mine will come out just like yours. I will link a pic here and link your tutorial to mine.

Great tutorial!
And, btw, it IS Alkaline, Alcaline is in French. "pile" is battery in French, so Alkaline is the English spelling
