Best question the teacher ever wrote on the board in science.I did this in science so this is only a rough sketch, but I inked it anyways. Not my best work.

the definition is actually the amount of energy one electron has when passing through a potential difference of 1V. hence electron-Volt. but it has uses in nuclear physics and chemistry. . and it's very very very SMALL......

should be later on in your book.... if it's physics or chemistry. flip though the index for electron volt
