One of the more underrated games of the Nintendo DS era, I would say. MegaMan Starforce was a huge inspiration on me growing up. After the Battle Network series had ended (Which I began at 5 but went back and got/played the others), I hopped onto the next (and last) MegaMan RPG, where I was greeted by a really fun concept for a distant future, some awesome new game mechanics, fantastic new music, and a great new supporting cast. MegaMan Starforce was a lot different than MegaMan Battle Network, but it was kind of refreshing. It kept a lot of things the same while it changed a lot as well, and really made a name for itself on it's own. A lot of people disliked Starforce simply because it replaced the 6x6 grid (you moving around on your 3x3 half, and the enemy on theirs) with a new grid system that only allowed you to move left and right on 3 panels, but aiding you with a shield and newly added lock-on mechanics in place of moving.

I had a lot of fun with these games. Character designs, just like Battle Network, were off the chain, and each game just captivated me. Definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY go check these out if you haven't and want some games to play. (If you already played Battle Network and have a DS or DS Lite, throw in the cartriage of a Battle Network game and look around, you might find some surprises.)
