For one in my life I have too much time.I never knew there was such disparity between brands of colored pencils. I switched for Faber-Castells 9000 series after having a problem with darkness and shine. What a difference! I only added the Faber-Castells to the darkest darks to the drawing I already did with my Ticonderoga. I have a Prismacolor Ebony somebody gave to me, but I have never used it. I'm going to experiment next time.

this is awesome! that pose must have been difficult to get get.
I use Prismacolor(the soft core one, premier), and i love them to DEATH! I can't use any other colored pencil because of them

I use prismacolours as well, but for these drawings I've been using mostly graphite.Β
Apparently, they mix clay and carbon and all sorts of stuff in graphite pencils to make them darker.Β

i don't use graphite much anymore except for sketching... got too used to using color
