Description Debbie had always played on the train tracks behind her house. The noisy freight trains were always slow enough to avoid easily, and the drivers always waved and blew their horns as she smiled and waved to them. She always loved the deep rumble as the long trains clacked by...
The new high speed commuter train was on her before she even realized what was happening. There was a screeching sound and then a white hot sensation, and then she felt weightless. It was all so jumbled in her mind, it happened so fast, but she always remembered looking out across the grass and seeing one of her sneakers, maybe twenty feet away... then realizing her leg was still in it.
She woke up confused and groggy and in pain. She saw where the white hospital sheets fell flat to the mattress, just below her hips, and she started crying out.
Prosthetics never really worked for Debbie, but she got used to life in a wheelchair quickly enough...

Lovely image.  Love the lack of symmetry on her leg amputations, excellent job on the photo manipulation as well.

Thank you I honestly prefer more symmetrical amputations, but I felt that for this scenario the asymmetrical amputations made more sense.

Yeah, always a matter of personal tastes.  Mine is definitely an asymmetrical attraction which i managed to match perfectly in the person of my lovely wife.  She has one leg and one arm amputated from the hip and shoulder on her left side, so were two of the few who have the opportunity to get into some actual photography in this genre.

Guess she'll never feel that sensation in her soles again. 🤷 Should have took better care of them.
