Meghan saw the kitten up in the tree and just wanted to help - it was stuck and definitely couldn’t get down. She knew she should have gotten a ladder, especially as high up as the kitten was, but she didn’t think it would be a problem...
She lost her balance, slipping off the branch, grabbing for branches as she fell backwards. She landed on rocks, her back breaking on impact. She passed out.
The paramedics and fire department that got her also saved the kitten, or so she was told later. She decidedly she’d get a kitten herself... once she got out of rehab.
