Description:
Competitive. A little self-important, but hates to be humiliated or one-upped, so tends to keep his superior feelings to himself lest someone be moved to ruin his day in response. Has a habit of snacking on whatever other common stones are readily at hand. In this part of the world, that means a lot of pink-and-black-flecked light granite, so his coloration is strongly influenced by this diet. He has a taste for rose quartz and garnets, though, and has since he was born. This long-term intake has permanently tinged his scales, feathers, and horns. Unlike most Therioi, he finds metals distasteful and consumes only as much as he must to be healthy. For this reason his eyes are not as metallic as those of most Therioi, and the color is deep red, evidently drawn from the garnets he indulges in. His horns are relatively small, but well-formed, with three full 'turns', and he is proud of them, keeping them well polished so their rich crimson stands out against the darker blood-red of his mane. He is drawn to red barlaks as well, though he'd never turn away a good Eribhar because it wasn't his favorite color.
History: When Uthiah first came to Alter!Earth, he was taken in by resident Therioi hiding out on the continent of Purayan. This is where he became familiar with barlaks and fell in love with the Continental Eribhar. He wanted to participate in barlak fancy, but in Purayanrue, it is harder to be a Therioi than it is in the USV - passing as a human, Primali, or Ferali is much more serious and important there for a variety of cultural and social reasons. Most Therioi in Purayan remain as inconspicuous as possible. In the USV, though, there are many more misborns and people in general are more accustomed to 'immigrants' (even if the word that actual aliens are among us has not yet filtered out.) In short, it's easier to get away with "not being from around here" in the USV without automatically triggering suspicion. So Uthiah moved to Paradise City on the west coast of North Vesperi. Feeling much safer in the anonymous masses of the bustling city, and glad for the relatively easy access to wilderness areas in which to train and hunt his Eribhars, Uthiah has begun to live his dream of owning, training, and breeding competition-quality Continental Eribhars. It's just a shame he had to leave their namesake continent to do it. He retains some of the habits he picked up overseas. He does not allow anyone but other Therioi to witness his true form, though. He normally disguises himself in the form of a pitch black melanistic jaguar Primali or a white ram Primali. Both forms have blood-red hair, though, a subtle clue to help fellow Therioi recognize him.
