I kept up my practicing with sprites. And this is my next piece.Featuring everyone's favourite half-zombie: Rottytops
I think I did good. Tho I think it requires an actual animation to see what she does here.
Kinda bad from my side, but oh well.
To make clear what she does here:
As you can see, she is wearing gloves in this piece. And she is tightening one of them with her other hand.
I also gave her a new pair of shoes, if you don't mind.
To explain the slight re-design: I always could picture Rottytops as a playable character and as partner-character for Shantae, in the Main Adventure.
Rotty's athletic body alone seem to pack quite a punch. And I figured if she trains her body that well already, why not going the extra mile to make her both a good platformer and fighter.
So I gave her a pair of sneakers to represent her althetic abilities and gloves to get her fighter-nature across.
From my personal viewpoint, Rottytops would basicly focus on agility. Capable of jumping and dodging attack swiftly and then move in for quick hits.
For basic combat, I figured punches and kicks would suit her. But of course, for special abilities her zombie-nature would emerge, utilizing her removable limbs and maybe bones and stuff as well.
Tho they might also have some sort of cost, if you use them.
Maybe it's just me, but I figure Rottytops doesn't like it too much if she uses her zombie-powers. Maybe some sort of straining effect? I dunno...
As for her platforming-abilities: I think it has been proven that she is on par with Shantae in this area already.
But since Rottytops seems to train much harder than Shantae, I figured it would make sense if Rotty would be a little better at it, if she is put in as another playable character or partner-character.
Just throwing my ideas around.
Anyway, this would be it then.
