So here's another browser character/icon! This time it's Torch, a web browser built off Chromium source code. It looks and works a lot like Chrome, really (even supports Chrome extensions), though apparently offers more inbuilt features (like Bittorrent support) and a stronger focus on social media and sharing.I love how this character came together. She's adorable!
Now she needs a name... I had a list of ideas:Aurora
Blaze
Firefly
Candela
Ember
Lumin
Pyree
Sparka
Crossfire
Incendia
I think I'm possibly leaning towards Ember, Firefly or Candela? I don't know, anyone else have any ideas? EDIT: Ok, leaning towards Candela thanks to all the good reasoning in the comments!

The Torch logo was hard to draw. There aren't many (any?) high-res references to get the dimensions right. I wasn't about to repeat the drama with the Safari logo trying to draw the map out in the 'globe' (torture) so I used a creative-commons vector of the continents which was such a perfect match that I'm wondering if Torch logo's graphic designer didn't do the exact same thing.

Well, I didn't do any research before hand so I assume that Chrome is the was the first to implement the Chromium source code. Then the source code was released and Torch was made. It's like bade engineering with cars like Chevrolet/Holden/Vauxhall.

"Sunstar" or "Novena"
From the list, i'd say either:
"Aurora" (the name flows nicely), or "Firefly" (it sounds cute :3)

I like Candela. It isn't quite as cliche as the other two you like, and it sounds so pretty!

Awesome character! As for a name, I would say that Candela seems to fit the best, both with how it sounds and the images it invokes. Her color scheme does look like a candle. Also, the candela is the SI unit of luminous intensity (brightness) if you didn't know. The other names on the list don't quite fit. I see Aurora as being a more blue-green, Blaze as being spikier, Lumin sounds more masculine, and Firefly is from an earlier generation of ponies.

They're nice choices, but I should mind you that Incendia is the name of a fire unicorn from a 6-star fic on EQD called Antipodes. But that doesn't necessarily have to matter.

I'd prefer not to use pre-existing names... you know, I wanted 'Wildfire' for the briefest moment before I remembered blagged it for her OC! Derp.
Should've remembered Antipodes, think I was reading that when it was still early into writing (unless I'm thinking of something else - but I'm sure I'm not, Antipodes was quite distinctive).

(Blaze sounds a little boyish, Firefly doesn't have much to do with torches, and Lumin is a medical term and as a nurse I can't get past that). XD

Seems there's support for a fair range of names here! Candela is popping up a lot with good justification to boot... the more people mention it... the more Candela is starting to make sense!

Blaze seems like quite the good name! You got the fire elements in there, and all colors of blue, orange, red, and yellow, typically associated with fire.
Also, good job here on the design! Very clean and simple, but effective. Not too many things going on, but it's easier on the eye.
