Have another image thing! After much messing around as, yet again, I've screwed up the colour profiles on all my devices simultaneously... near as I can tell it's fine now.This time it's Karma, jumping, twisting and reaching in the air to deliver an upvote of her own to a fledgeling post. I like to imagine that post will go hurtling into the stratosphere now Karma has given it her blessing.
I'm sure the normal voting process wouldn't be nearly as dramatic. Must've been really good content or something..Can't decide if I like this or more. I think this one is more visually interesting, at least.
I'm still unsure about one or two things in the script for MLW: Part 5 so I'm just doing these while I mull those issues over. When I'm satisfied there's a chance I might go quiet again while I focus mostly on the Websurfers comic..
In the meantime, quite enjoying being able to put out little tidbits like this, though. Apathia next!
Image available in SQUARE or RECTANGLE shapes! Awesome. This time they're 2880x1800 and 2560x2048 px respectively. Should scale down nicely to smaller resolutions, I hope...

Absolutely! Though when I made the comment I was referring to how the image seemed over-saturated on most of my equipment, so much so that you couldn't actually see the detail (meanwhile it looked "as intended" in Illustrator/Photoshop).
I think the converse is true as well though, in that since only you know what is in your head, something which may be obvious/intuitive to you might make no sense to others. I actually encounter this one quite a bit (oops) for example in the image linked in the thumbnail (in the description above) a lot of people thought there was something wrong with the character's nose, when what I was going for (and what it looked like to me) was the correct placement of the 'horn' with the character's head was tilted downwards. Keep having to second-guess myself and imagine how an image looks to an impartial third party, haha.

The problem of perspective isn't an easily conquered one. Mirrors help a great deal, so does standing far away from the piece. Unfortunately in the end there is no substitute for someone else's opinion though. (unfortunately everyone else has their own biases as well...) Which is not to say that it is the opinions of others that matter. It is the artist's expression, and therefore bends to their whim. (the problem with that though is for others to understand the expression it has to speak to them, which may not be congruent with the artist's idea)

I personally like this one more than the one with Discentia. I could be that Discentia facial expression doesn't seem right.
Your use of light, shades and colour are excellent in both, but possibly more so in this one given the colour choice.
This has a deeper atmosphere to it.

I think this one is cooler. Dat pose, dat lighting, dat dynamism. Badass. I like that shadow cast by her head and the progressively deeper ones under it.
