My first DevArt submission!!! Well, at least I'm excited. This is a super hero version of one of my co-workers...i'm kinda doing one for all of them...but Amber's my favorite so she's first. Any way, her super power is fire, The Flame style. Ummm, how do you shade fire?Related content

I don't know if anyone ever got back to you on how to shade flame... seeing as it's been like 2 years >< but here are a few images that you can use for reference that have so really good flame shading.

I guess it'll depend on the allaince factor and mood you want. The darker shading for what would be more evil verses the light almost sunlight shading of a good guy.

If you want to shade the fire, you can outline the entire figure in black. that would probably help.
