I don't know why G1 cartoon series' character names are really different.
Jetfire -> Skyfire
Frenzy's colour -> Rumble's colour (same goes for Rumble)
etc....
Skyfire may be the coolest Decepticon (though he defects to Autobots) in G1, next to Shockwave...personally.
I don't even know why Decepticons in Movie series all look scary (including Jetfire).

Ack I didn't mean to get the names all mixed up. For some reason I get skyfire and jetfire scrambled up quite a bit.
