Some people don't speak the native language of the artist, so it would be difficult for them to leave a comment anyway.

I can understand why most people fave and run (Hell, I do it almost all the time)

I think it's because most artists can't think of anything else to say other then "cool/cute/awesome/etc." I know I try and avoid being one of those people.

It also annoys me when people BEG for a comment. people should just be happy that somebody at least LIKES their art.

Yes.
A lot of times I just fave things without commenting because I don't know what else to say other than "awesome" or "pretty". Not everyone can think of a smart or funny comment right away.

There's this one one artist who is so up their own ass they will REFUSE to reply to anyone, yet if you favourite and don't comment they flame all over your stuff and page. It's so annoying :I
