I'm not going to lie. Whenever I find a character I find really hot, I look them up on Rule 34 or e621 just out of curiosity. Some characters I got into don't have much porn. Plus, some of the crappier traced porn pics sometimes inspire me to make better pics or even redraw the pics altogether (which I haven't got to yet).
You can complain about rule 34 all you want, but you're not going to make it go away. Just ignore it, turn safe search on, and move on.
