I do to. My brain always stores useless facts.

Here's a few:

Bumblebees have hair on their eyeballs.

Two words in the English language use the letter "w" as a vowel (cwm and crwth) this is because these words were taken from another language (I believe Swedish, but don't quote me on that) and make an "oo" sound.

Many fish like goldfish and minnows have a memory span of three seconds.

There are slightly more males on Earth than females.

If a statue in a battlefield of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person was wounded in the battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person survived the battle unharmed. (I learned this one on one of my many childhood trips to a battleground near my hometown. I seriously could write a pretty accurate account of the battle considering how many times I have been there. This one is courtesy of a good friend of mine)

Chewing gum is illegal in Singapore. (okay this one isn't useless if you plan on going to Singapore)

In the state of Pennsylvania it is illegal to catch a fish with your bare hands. Which means I probably should be fined because when I was growing up there I caught a few minnows wih my bare hands....... Only one ever died and that was my neighbor's fault.

I love this~ I may come back later, but my favourite bit I love to surprise people with is

Did you know that if you are properly proportioned, you will be exactly as tall as you are if you outstretch your arms and measure from middle fingertip to middle fingertip (count the space between your shoulders)

It is stupidly useful in doing art proportions, and I even had a teacher once tell me no that was impossible, so she measured on the white board and then measured that, and was seriously shocked. Dont remember where I found this fact, but it is awesome.

Then just because:
Did you know ferrets are not rats? They are more closely related to skunks, being members of the mustelid family.

That one just bothers me because I'm a ferret owner and people insist they are rats. They aren't.

Actually the shortest complete sentence in the English language is "Go."

Sentences need a subject (this one is an implied "you") an action (the word "go" itself), and a complete thought.

A complete sentence is a subject plus a verb.
I = Subject
Am = Verb.
Therefore "no" is not a sentence.
