Not true, Have you ever seen photographs of fish that live deep in the ocean? They have very light skin because of very poor light exposure, Same goes with humans, if we were to wear cover-up clothes all the time our skin eventually goes lighter (I would know because I wear pants all the time and eventually my skin got super white.) Just think.. Light exposure makes our skin darker, thus, reverse this concept with the failure of light exposure and skin should/ would be lighter. After all, having dark skin is supposedly said to help lessen the chance of sunburn so why would a fish need dark skin if he/ she lived in an environment in which he/ she didn't need to "protect" their "skin" from the sun?

But they would need dark skin in a dark environment if they wanted to camouflage, so that they don't get eaten. Anyway, I've seen goldfish that have turned black from being in a dark room.
