oh noes prepare for ranttt DXAlright... I'm terrible at rants so don't hurt me if I don't make any sense -.-
I originally made this regarding shippings... but it can be applied anywhere I think.
What annoys me is when I see someone say/comment something like, "OMG *insert pairing you dislike* ARE SO CANON ASDFGHJKL"
When the pairing isn't, canon at all.
Now I can usually deal with pairings, even if I myself don't support them, but it's that little thing when that person refuses to acknowledge the actual relationship of the characters. I'm not saying you shouldn't ship them, ship them all you want, but keep it separate from canon. I'll see these comments and honestly wonder what point I'm missing...
I do have my own fanon pairings I support, but I know they're only fanon and can never happen in the canon, whether it be the characters are too deep in the friend zone, have different preferences, age difference, or have not even met each other...
I don't know... Maybe it's just me. But when I see something like siblings paired together and "everyone" (as in a big group of people not literally EVERYONE) thinks they were always hot for each other, I kinda need to question it -.-
(oh or also if they hate each other, I don't understand those ships either...)
And now I feel stupid for ranting about pairings
Oh well, I hope my point's understandable

I've happened to have plenty of fanon shipping used in my stories, but I am intermediate when its comes to keep them separate from canon

When theres a hint in something that two ppl could be shipped and everyone goes off on one saying it's canon, when actually it's hinted for several different pairings and the audience can choose their ship...

Don't forget fan theories like "you killed Gary's Raticate". Those are often treated as canon, when in fact they're not. I never make anyone believe that my fanon is canon, because that ruins the whole purpose of fanon.

I myself like some Invader Zim pairings (even though no one really loves each other in that show

oh wow. so true. I hate shizaya. and Idk if you have ever watched Durarara or not, but shizuo and Izaya want each other dead and they chase each other around the city and trough things at each other all the time. and people ALWAYS say "OH MY GAWD! SHIZUO TOTALLY LOVES IZAYA YOU CAN SO SEE IT AS;LKDFJA;LKFNA!!!"
I mean, I love to ship things that aren't canon... like L x light.... psssh but I know it isn't canon. and I don't think it ever will be. and there is nothing in the show that supports it. (besides that freaking rain scene ffffff)

Uh one thing I can think of is LxMisa, which a lot of people ship, but I refuse to think it's canon just because she kissed him and L "touched her butt". I always see people say, "L MUST love Misa he touched her butt!!"
and I'm like, "He was stealing her phone."
pfffft the first time I saw the rain scene I didn't even have a yaoi thought in my mind (but it was still kinda awkward) xD
It was sad 'cause L knew something was gonna happen.... and Light felt bad....
well at least I think he did for that moment....

lol Drrr!! is one of those shows where u can't start in the middle. like doctor who XDD but it is the best series I have ever watched. and Izaya is still my favorite anime character ever. XP
I hate that pairing. mostly because I don't like Misa. XP but L does show he kinda likes her sometimes. Lol like when he was watching the commercial.
yea. I was like "awwwww he knows!!" and Light better have felt bad. plus, it was hard to tell weather light was realy crying for his dad or if he was just acting. I'm betting on acting though.

and I'll stare at the screen thinking "Whaat? There was nothing romantic in that video. What is this"

Ok so one time i'm listing to one of my favorite songs Fiarytake by Alexander Rybuk and I get in the comment "OMG it reminds me of Usuk!!" And im like FO REAL?
And then I'm listing to a vocaloid song called Insatity by Miki and in the comments "OMG HETALIA!!!" OR "OMG GAMZEE'S SONG!!" (Which is ture becuase the lyrics are like it!)
