I love it!

You can use this method on anything such as drawers.

It's a great way of extending the life of your props with doors.

I would recommend that you add a plane or really flat cube to act as a shelf for the inside of the fridge to add more realism.

I look forward to seeing a full render with your rigged prop in action with figures.

I wasn't sure how to show an image of rigging so I went for the old, show an attractive female figure opening a cupboard, trick.
