Ignore the stars if you want to. I hate stars.
Ok to start, daaang this looks cool! It's such a simple concept, yet I feel you were able to capture beauty and meaning in this. I just love how shiny the Pokeball is. It looks like the pokebal is some sort of powerful treasury, that holds something great inside it, instead of how it's shown in the anime and games as being common and unpowerful. Ok I love the background. It just looks so captivating, and it reminds me of the weather it would be when a trainer gets his/her first pokemon. I also just love the reflection of the trees on the top of the Pokeball. It looks like the Pokeball is reflecting everything in the forest off it's shiny surface. So dang nice.
The one thing that I have to say bothers me about this, as someone said before, is the placement of the watermark. I too feel like you could have placed it in the bottom right corner or left corner, as most other artists to. I feel like the eye naturally drifts that way if you want to find the watermark. I feel as though it takes some of the beauty away form the background. Very nice picture other then that :'D
-after writing critique an was about to submit but looked over the drawing once more, I noticed in the reflection of the Pokeball what seems to be someone reaching for the Pokeball. I didn't notice this at first, but I love how you sort of hid that so that someone would have to search for it. Very nice, and made me love this piece even more!

First of all, thankyou for this awesome critique! I'm still very much new to photography and this is actually my first critique; I don't think I could have asked for a better oneΒ Β
You pretty much nailed everything I went for in this photo, and you can't imagine how happy that makes me - cos' I guess that means I'm on the right track! (it also means that you are very good at picking apart and analysing art, like, scarily good)
I can definitely see what you and the other commenter meant by the watermark. This is my first photo using an *actual* watermark that I made - before this I'd just put my username in the bottom corner. So I guess chalk this one up to experience, I might go back and tweak it to make it less noticeable.
Also yay for you noticing what I did with the reflection in the pokeball! It's actually the reflection of me reaching down with the camera, but I too noticed that it kinda looked like a trainer reaching for it, so I tried my best to make it look like that in editing, without taking too much away from the rest of the photo. I didn't really think anyone would notice though, so more awesome points for you
Again, thankyou for this great critique. This is my most popular piece so far on DA, I'm very very Β glad you and everyone else who fave'd it liked it <3

No problem, I'm always happy to give critiques :'D
And actually, that's how I found the reflection in the Pokeball XD I was trying to see if it was an actual taken picture of a pokeball, cause I've seen some people add effects to Pokeballs with backgrounds and stuff in photoshop without actually taking the picture. I tried looking in the reflection to see if I saw someone with a camera. But when I saw it, I thought 'hey it kinda looks like a trainer'

Hi, I recently found a picture of yours on google and I cannot find it here to purchase. I was wondering if I could use it in a metal lyric video. I will give you full credit. I believe the name of the picture is called Beneath. Please email me Cassandra1781@gmail.com Thank you

I got to love this
How the water surrounds the pokeball, and the colors of it contrast so nice over that grey background.
This makes me think of my childhood and gives me the need of holding a pokeball ones again in my hands. Makes me think of what pokemon would i choose to be in the pokeball for me.
Is this a toy pokeball, or handmade? Cause i got to love it, and would like one like this standing on a mini pedestal, to show with my big figures.

Imagine if it's a trainer whose died somewhere in the forest and now that Pokemon is trapped in there forever.

don't ignore the #1 pokemon rule: as long as you have pokemon that can still fight, you can't die.. =w=

You obviously have the rules mixed up
Everyone knows that rule #1 of pokemon is do not talk about pokemon
rule #2 DO NOT TALK ABOUT RULE #1!

Nice pic!
One small point of critisism; I don't like the prominent location of the watermark.
If people want to know who made it they'll look for the artist.
In the lower right/left corner and 50% smaller is big enough.

Thankyou! Yeah I can agree with that, I'm new to using watermarks so I'll definitely keep this in mind for next time.
Thanks for your support!
