to be honest, i don't remember what i was thinking.
i guess it's like an instagram pic because it's Β a still of somebody's life, with a little extra filtering. lots of people photograph the little things, like a view or a dish, and they share that to connect with other people. here i see somebody quietly enjoying a bowl of... stuff, with the curtain drawn. it's a private enjoyment, a rare moment.

Do you paint your pieces all from imagination, observance and sketches or do you also use a lot of references like photos and such?

It's usually imagination..especially for the things you are mentioning.. the little details of light reflections and the furniture.. that said.. this is also based on my kitchen, so It's a little easier for me to remember.
I usually try to base my environments on places I know or remember..I am pretty good at taking in the space I live in, or go through on a daily basis.. I tend to just describe it to myself every time I see something new.
For work though, I'll have to use references here and there because pretty often I'll have to create a world based on something I know nothing off..which is also super interesting to me.

This scene is beautiful and inspiring. It reminds me of me when I have my coffee, except I have an annoying dog instead of a cat. LOL

Thank you..I have a dog too, and i love him.. but I also love cats. I grew up with tons of cats..which is why they come back all the time.

You're welcome. I didn't know you own a dog. I love cats and dogs. Same here, my dad loved dogs while my mum loved cats. The only trouble if I got myself a cat is there are too many cats that belong to my neighbours and too many idiot neighbours screaming their heads off during the night.
