I love the light and movement in this piece! You can really feel the ripples of the water, and the boy and his dog jumping. It even feels like a slightly breezy day. This is beautiful. Your work is like "impressionist" meets "children's book". Great work!

this is definitely one of my favourites.
did you mirror and blur the reflection in the water or did you repaint it by hand?
i aodre your handiwork with light. the light in the greenery, the water and naturally glowing from the background really show off your skill (are you developing a liking for backlighting?), the water looks especially crisp which i'd attribute to your scarce brush strokes and the method you used - if you did.

I did a bit of both.. I find that repainting the reflection rather than simply duplicating the image works better( for me)
