It’s funny.. I started this one thinking about the old magazine racks from the AC store in Nome Alaska( that’s where I would buy all my comic books when I was there) and it evolved into a different type of sketch. I really enjoy letting whatever is my brain take over and “pilot” my hand now and then.. it’s like you are discovering the drawing as it’s happening. I really like that feeling.

The contrast on this is so cool. Even with a sketchy look, it looks more finished than any scene I could slap together. I realy do like this piece a lot.

I like the topic and the athmosphere you achieved with the tones you used and that frontal light source.
But - and I think it's really the first time I'm thinking 'but' with one of your works - something seems to be off with perspective in this picture. I look at it and my brain yells 'perspective is odd, something is wrong', but no details enclosed unfortunately. I guess it's the boy in the front, but I'm not really sure. Some information in the pic lets my brain perceive the scene as if the booth is tilted by at least 45 degrees compared to the rest of the room. The sitting people *all* supporting their weight with an arm just makes the impression even stronger.
But as the picture evolved on the go, that may not be too surprising after all.

Sure, it's got a checkered past, numerous health code violations, and was the site of no less than three firefights last week, but it's just so darn cozy!
