Nice job! Might have been better to use some anti-aliasing though or blurred the hard edges a bit

aliasing happend in post production because of the dof i used. do you know a good tool to get rid of it? i tried it with the blur tool, but it looked for me always better without it.

Ohh got you! What I would do is try to use the pen tool and select the jagged edges along with a little bit of the blurred glowing part, feather it a little bit, and then use a light gaussian blur since the glowing part is already blurry.
I'm not sure it'd work, but that's what I'd try. Good luck!
